Kirundo is one of the 17 provinces of
Burundiwith 7 commune(Busoni,Bwabaragwe,Kirundo,Bugabira,Vubi,Ntega and Maranga) and Kirundo have 3 big lacs Cohoha,Rweru,Rwihinda . 2 lacs are located in commune Busone (Cohoha,Rweru)and one in Kirundo.Kirundi is the town of provence Kirundo.Before the climate change Kirundo was the richest provence because of productive land,but now Kirundo is no longer productive .The climate change devastate the province forever.In 15 years those 3 lacs are almost on half(evaporation).
It is the northernmost province and it shares an international border with
Rwanda.
